Learned so much from working with Gavin Miller. One of Adobe's secret weapons, and a lovely person. Nice to hear him talking about what Adobe Research is doing these days. https://t.co/KFkWsTA0JX

Paid for my UK TV license. I don't really need it, but consider it a thank you for a lifetime of BBC programming I watched on PBS.

Now I get to spend the next few hours trying to restore my phone so that I can use it before I get on a plane tomorrow.
Really not impressed.

Which was interesting to me because I am paying extra for their "replace your phone if anything goes wrong" service, yet they still made the point to me that my phone was "under warranty."

The practical result, 70 minutes with Google support where I was passed off to different agents twice. I was forced to factory reset my phone even though it was obvious that it wouldn't fix the issue. So that they would finally agree to replace it.

So this happened on my brand-new Pixel3 this morning. It was sitting on the nightstand, no scratches on the lens nothing I can see, but now I have a big black dot. Condensation on the sensor maybe? pic.twitter.com/iy4QHdZ4a3
